CONFLUENCE, WHERE MOUNTAINS TOUCH RIVERS

PumpkinFest 2010

will be held

October 1, 2 and 3

PumpkinFest 2009 was one of our most successful Festivals ever. Although we have no way of counting exactly how many attended the festival, record or near record crowds were estimated at nearly 10,000 people. The car show had 170 registered entries, with nearly 200 cars overall. Our parade was one of the largest we have had, and vendor booths completely filled the town park.

The Confluence PumpkFest Committee would like to thank the commercial and craft vendors, bands, organizations and groups who provided entertainment, and businesses who sponsored the various events during the Festival. We also want to thank everyone who participated in the Festival including the young ladies who were contestants in the pageant, entrants in the parade, car show, 5k, karaoke, recipe or photo contest, or any other event or contest, as well as all of the volunteers who worked hard to make the festival a success.

The Committee would also like to thank the 2009 PumpkinFest Queen, Chelsea Hoover, for the outstanding job she did representing the Festival and the community.

If you attended PumpkinFest 2009, we would like to hear from you. You may sign our guestbook or e-mail us at info@confluencepumpkinfest.org.

PumpkinFest is held on the first weekend in October in the village of Confluence, Pennsylvania.   Confluence is located in the southwestern corner of Somerset County, along routes 281 and 523.   It is situated along the banks of the Youghiogheny and Casselman Rivers and Laurel Hill Creek.

This festival gives arts & crafts and food vendors the opportunity to show and sell their goods in the town park.   It also features many interesting and exciting events.   Among those are the Pumpkinfest Queen Pageant, a 5K run/walk, an antique and classic auto show, a parade and a largest pumpkin contest.   Other events include a recipe contest, photo contest, tough man fire truck pull, live music, an antique tractor show and more.

We hope that you and your family will be able to visit PumpkinFest this year.   We are sure that you will enjoy yourself!
